Rohingya Zoban App Officially Launched to Strengthen Language Preservation and Learning
On 17 June 2026, the Rohingya Zoban App was officially launched in a successful ceremony, marking a significant milestone in the preservation, promotion, and development of the Rohingya language, culture, and identity. The innovative digital platform has been developed by Children on the Edge (COTE) with financial support from its partners and implemented in collaboration with Mukti Cox's Bazar.
The Rohingya Zoban App has been designed to make learning, reading, and teaching the Rohingya language more accessible, engaging, and effective for people of all ages. By utilizing modern technology, the app aims to support language education while safeguarding the rich linguistic heritage of the Rohingya community for future generations. It serves as an important resource for children, youth, educators, researchers, and community members seeking to strengthen their knowledge of the Rohingya language regardless of where they live in the world.
The launch event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including government officials, international researchers, representatives of development organizations, educators, language advocates, and members of the Rohingya community.
