Ukhia camp was burnt Death of a Rohingya child
A child died in a terrible fire at a Rohingya camp in Ukhia, Cox's Bazar. Some houses have been burnt. Four fire service units are working to control the camp fire.
The incident was confirmed by the new officer in charge (OC) of Ukhia police station. Arif Hossain told Banner that the fire broke out at Camp C Block on Tuesday (December 24) around 12 noon.
He said, "Police recovered the dead body of a Rohingya child in the fire incident in the camp. However, his identity was not immediately available. Several others were injured in the incident."
Stating that several houses have been burnt, the OC said that work is still going on to control the fire.
However, at least four hundred houses have been burnt in this fire

"One child has died in the fire. Four others have been injured. The fire is yet to be fully extinguished," he told Banner.
