Mr. Abdullah Al Mamun Shahin is a Bangladeshi citizen who has been actively working to support and promote the Rohingya language in the Rohingya refugee camps of Cox’s Bazar. His dedication to linguistic and educational development reflects a strong commitment to preserving the mother tongue of the Rohingya community and strengthening access to learning in their own language.
Currently serving as Project Manager of the EP-FDMN & HC Project at Mukti Cox's Bazar, Mr. Shahin has played an important role in educational initiatives within the camps. Through his efforts, Hanifi-script Rohingya language books have been distributed among students and community members, helping to promote literacy and cultural preservation.
The distribution of Hanifi books is more than just the sharing of printed materials. It represents hope, identity, and empowerment. For a community that has faced displacement and hardship, access to education in their own language is a powerful step toward dignity and self-reliance.
